May 04, 2007 - Open space conference format Rocks
This weekend I had attended the first open space format conference CITCON. Before attending CITCON this year, I was little unsure about the format of the conference. Now I am totally convinced that this is the way to do lots of conference. It was invigorating experience to be meeting so many of my peers in the business and also surrounded by lots of thought leaders in the field of continuous integration and testing and share their experiences. With other conferences in the past, I always wished I had more time to network with other community people with similar interest. This open space conference totally gives that opportunity and much more. As an attendee we got to decide/pick the topic of interest, and get what we want out of it. This format allowed to have more information exchange and building community. It was real fun talking about various things close to my heart and work with thought leaders like Martin Fowler, Elisabeth Hendrickson , Bret and more..
